Product and Fit
What comPayr is, what it includes, and who it is meant to serve.
Is comPayr payroll software or a payroll service?
comPayr is payroll calculation software. It is not your payroll service provider, tax filer, payment processor, legal advisor, or HR advisor.
What does the product include?
The core product covers payroll runs, onboarding workflows, employee records, tax-form preparation workflows, reports, and workforce access in one connected desk.
Who is the product built for?
It is built for owner-run and operator-led small businesses that want direct visibility into payroll without enterprise-style process bloat.
Can employees access their own information?
Yes. comPayr includes employee-facing access for onboarding and self-service workflows so worker records do not have to live in a separate system.
Does comPayr handle tax forms and reporting?
Yes. The software includes tax-form preparation workflows and payroll reports so the payroll record, review flow, and related outputs stay connected.
Pricing, Coverage, and Beta
What the product costs today, where it is available, and how launch-stage timing works.
How does pricing work?
comPayr is currently free to use during the testing phase. There is no charge to sign up at this time, and we do not require a credit card, bank account, or other financial information to create an account. We do not currently have an announced timeline for moving from testing into a paid pricing model.
Which states do we support currently?
comPayr is launching with Michigan support only. We are actively working on adding more states soon.
How long is the testing or beta phase?
The testing and beta phase will continue for as long as needed. We do not currently have an announced timeline for when that phase will end.
Payroll Operations
How employers can pay workers and how to handle practical rollout questions.
How can I pay my employees?
comPayr does not currently support direct deposit. We are actively working to add direct deposit capabilities, but they are not available at this time. Today, the software supports paycheck printing on preprinted MICR check stock for businesses that issue paper checks. Another practical option may be the online bill pay feature available through a business bank account. Many banks offer pay-bills functionality at no additional charge, depending on the employer’s banking setup. Many customers also use comPayr to calculate the final net pay amount and then distribute funds through their existing payment methods, such as Zelle, PayPal, or employer-issued paper checks.
What support should I expect?
comPayr keeps support expectations straightforward during the launch-stage beta. We review questions submitted through the public contact flow and route product, privacy, legal, and security issues to the appropriate path, but we do not currently publish a 24/7 support or SLA commitment.
What if my setup or rollout questions are more specific?
Use the public contact page when you need scenario-specific clarification about launch fit, setup posture, or operating boundaries before signup.
Trust and Public Materials
Where to review the public pages covering security, privacy, and operating posture.
How does comPayr approach accessibility?
For the public site and core application flows, comPayr is working toward WCAG 2.1 AA as its practical accessibility standard. We use automated accessibility checks and targeted manual keyboard and screen-reader review on high-traffic surfaces.
Where can I review trust, privacy, and legal material?
Start with the Resources section for the public trust pages, including security, privacy, DPA, subprocessors, and the current beta terms.
